Who we are
We are Bri & Nick (heh, get it?!) and we are the writers contributing to this website, as well as the creatives that designed and made the website (most of that credit goes to Nick).
Why we are
We made this website as a way to talk about the things we are most passionate about when it comes to gaming; from indie game reviews to industry news to opinion pieces about the state of the industry and so on. Tired of word limits and algorithms, this is a space to talk earnestly about how we feel regarding the industry we love so much.
About the writers
Bri (aka BlondePizza)
Sometimes twitch streamer, sometimes YouTube content creator, sometimes Yet Another Game Awards Host, sometimes Steam curator, & sometimes loudmouth on social media. Bri has been dabbling in gaming commentary on and off since 2016 and is a fan of all things gaming, be it AAA, AA, or indie. The general decline of AAA and the creative works coming from that space lately has put indie gaming at the forefront of Bri's radar for a few years now. With more to say than streaming can sometimes allow for, she wanted a space where in depth reviews could be written and stored that didn't depend on some word limit, algorithm, or third party. And with the industry being in the state that it is, she wanted a space to be able to talk about things in a real way without disrupting the delicate ecosystem that is social media.
Nick
BrickThrow's Webmaster, he occasionally appears as a guest writer. A long time developer and mod creator, he has a sharp eye for the technical side of games. Nick enjoys action games, RPGs, and shooters, and he demands high-quality gameplay above all else. You can find him replaying Dark Souls, again.
The future
In addition to Brick Throw's website, a Brick Throw gaming channel will be launched soon. This will be a channel where Bri & Nick play games together, talk about the industry, and shoot the shit together. Stay tuned!
